Yangzhou Polytechnic College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational and technical college approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is an excellent institution in the evaluation of the level of higher vocational and technical talent cultivation by the Ministry of Education, a reserve institution for the National Development and Reform Commission's 14th Five Year Plan for the Promotion of an Education Strong Country, and a high-level vocational school with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province.
YPC has a beautiful environment and perfect running conditions.The campus covers an area of 1,415.17 acres, with over 15,000 full-time students and nearly 10,000 students enrolled in various continuing education programs. It has 22 teaching units. The school building covers an area of 558,800 square meters, with a green coverage rate of up to 45%, and is known as a park style university. There are currently 317 experimental training rooms with a total value of 175 million yuan for teaching instruments and equipment. The total number of books in the library collection is 2.1286 million, including 1.2973 million paper books.
YPC adheres to the talent strong school, and the teaching staff is strong and competent. There are now 1269 teachers and staff, nearly 1000 full-time teachers, 771 full-time teachers with master's degree or above, 71 senior full-time teachers and 347 deputy senior full-time teachers. There are 639 double-qualified teachers, accounting for 83.64% of the full-time professional teachers. YPC adheres to the quality school, and has achieved fruitful results in education and teaching, industry and education.The college currently has 7 majors supported by central finance and national backbone majors, 4 provincial high-level and provincial key major groups, and 11 provincial characteristic, provincial brand, and provincial high-level backbone majors. Led the establishment of one national resource environment and geographic information industry education integration community, and led the Yangzhou Modern Industry Education Alliance to be approved as one of the first batch of municipal industry education alliance cultivation units in Jiangsu Province. There are 2 national level training bases, 1 training base supported by central finance, 2 provincial industry education deep integration training platforms, 1 provincial demonstration virtual simulation training base, and 1 provincial industry education integration platform. There are currently 2 provincial school enterprise cooperation demonstration combination projects, 2 provincial first batch on-site engineer special training program projects, and 1 provincial demonstration vocational education group (alliance).
